ServiceSource awarded Meridian High School their 2026 Community Partner of the Year Award. ServiceSource helps people with disabilities achieve meaningful employment, greater independence, and improved well-being. The award was presented at ServiceSource’s Service Excellence Awards dinner on October 27 at the JW Marriott Hotel in Washington, DC.
According to ServiceSource, Meridian High School’s IT Summer Work Experience internships and Finding Your Future groups were deemed instrumental in the success of the students who have been able to participate. These programs allow students to get hands-on experience with technology at the elementary, middle and high school level classrooms.
“ServiceSource is extremely grateful to Meridian High School for its forward thinking and collaborative approach in making this partnership so successful,” said ServiceSource Virginia Region Executive Director Brenda Richardson. “We look forward to continuing this program, to benefit our students and future workers!”
This recognition highlights the exceptional vocational and transition opportunities built through the collaborative partnership between Meridian High School, the Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS), and ServiceSource.
“Congratulations to the entire Meridian High School team for setting the standard for strong community partnerships and student transition success,” said Dr. Terry Dade, Superintendent of Falls Church City Public Schools.
