Public Comments: While the state of emergency remains in effect due to COVID-19, written statements may be submitted to the Clerk for dissemination to School Board members. Please send written statements to School Board Clerk Marty Gadell at gadellm@fccps.org. Public Comments received by 10:00 AM on the day of the meeting will be posted on Board Docs prior to the meeting. Individuals wishing to appear virtually and make public comment (during the meeting, via Zoom) must register in advance by emailing School Board Clerk Marty Gadell at gadellm@fccps.org with their name, address, contact information, and topic no later than 5:00 PM EST the day prior to the meeting. Individuals who indicate they wish to speak will receive an email with a speaker number and information to access the meeting. Individuals will speak in the order of their speaker number. In accordance with School Board Policy BDDH, each speaker will be limited to three minutes.
Budget Public Hearing #1 : Individuals wishing to participate in the Budget Public Hearing #1, via Zoom, must register in advance by emailing School Board Clerk Marty Gadell at gadellm@fccps.org with their name, address, and contact information no later than 5:00 PM EST the day prior to the meeting. After a one week lull, the health trends have reversed. VA Dept of Health today revised the Falls Church Schools % Positive metrics back into the "Higher Risk" category - as the number of cases continues to rise. But with vaccines in the arm, excited for a return Feb 22nd!

GMHS Earns AP Computer Sci Diversity Award
The 2020 AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award has been awarded to the Mustang high school "for expanding young women's access to AP Computer Science." The award recognizes the achievement of only 232 schools, out of thousands of AP programs, for the work toward equal gender representation during the 2019-20 school year. Congratulations to Mr. Snyder for his leadership and teaching in the computer science classes.
