APPROACHES TO LEARNING (ATL)
Grade 6 students at Mary Ellen Henderson attend an Approaches to Learning (ATL) course as part of their language carousel. This course supports students’ transition to middle school by fostering their development of the five ATL skill categories.
Through ATL in IB programmes, students develop skills that have relevance across the curriculum that help them “learn how to learn”. They provide a solid foundation for learning independently and with others. ATL skills help students prepare for, and demonstrate learning through, meaningful assessment.
