Learn about the new FCCPS Strategic Plan. This session will include a review of the five areas of focus outlined in the plan. (IB Infused Teaching & Learning; Wellness, Equity, & Belonging; Resource Management & Continuous Improvement; Communication & Engagement; and Investing in Our People.
Depression and Anxiety: How to Support Your Students
Licensed mental health professionals will provide information on how to recognize and address both depression and anxiety in school age students. This session will assist parents in discerning between normal developmental issues and depression. Learn who to contact for intervention with high performing students to prevent school stress from becoming anxiety that impacts a student’s ability to function successfully.
IB Infused Learning: Tell Me About PYP, MYP, and DP
FCCPS completed the International Baccalaureate (IB)reauthorization process in 21-22. This session will help parents understand how the IB program is infused across all grade levels through the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program (MYP), and the Diploma Program (DP). FCCPS IB Coordinators will lead this session.
Teasing, Bullying, & Harassment: Where are the Boundaries?
When does teasing become bullying? How do we identify the threshold for harassment? What do we need to know as adults to support students? In this session, participant will learn how to identify the differences and strategies to address these issues.
