In order to recruit and retain excellent employees, FCCPS will enhance employee salaries and benefits.
Activities in Superintendent's Proposed FY24 Budget
Approved FY 2024 Budget includes
2% COLA and Step Increase for eligible employees.
Longevity bonus for those at the top of the salary scale.
Six weeks of paid parental leave for employees who have a child.
Sick leave payout increase for employees with more than five years of service
Health insurance rate decrease for less than full-time employees.
Evidence & Performance Measurements
With the finalization of the Calendar policy CC and regulation CC-R, all employees are eligible for two days of religious holiday leave per year.

FCCPS will complete a compensation study during the 2022-23 school year.
Activities
FCCPS partnered with Segal, an HR consulting firm, to conduct a compensation study.
Segal provided FCCPS School Board with an overview in December 2022.
In January 2022, Segal launched its study with an all-staff Zoom presentation.
All employees given an opportunity to submit a job description questionnaire.

By June 2023 FCCPS will adjust Extra Pay for Extra Duty stipends (EPED) to address internal and external equity.
Activities
The EPED Review Committee’s work is in process and will be released in Spring 2023.
The results of the EPED adjustments will be embedded in contracts beginning in the 2023-24 school year.
