SUPERINTENDENT’S UPDATES

Happy Friday, everyone! Congratulations to our Meridian Girls Basketball team, who played hard last night in Richmond and came up just short of the state championship. We are so proud of their accomplishments! It has been a magical run by Coach Carrico, his staff, and the amazing girls. Congratulations Meridian Girls!

Since Falls Church City is now at the “Low” COVID transmission level, based on the new CDC criteria, weekly updates will move to twice a month. We will share the most current case counts and other important division-wide information in those updates. Today’s message is only meant to inform you that we are making that shift in communication going forward. With that in mind, the next Roots, Resilience, and Renewal (RRR) will go out Friday, March 25, 2022. However, if there is a need to communicate something beyond our Morning Announcements, School Newsletters, via our Social Media accounts, our FCCPS app, our webpage, our Facebook page, etc.. (That’s a lot of communication outlets!)... we will send an “off-cycle” R,R&R.

Just as an FYI, during Tuesday’s ViSSTA surveillance testing, only one student tested positive for COVID. That student was our only case in the last ten days in FCCPS.

Have a great weekend, set your clocks FORWARD one hour, Saturday night, and enjoy the emerging spring!
