In this kindergarten classroom's language arts rotation, one station is "sight word typing."

Students flip to a word on the ring of sight words, find the letters to type it on the keyboard, and then write the word on their sheet. Students do up to 10 words and then have space for "bonus words" if they still have time.

At other stations, students work with the teachers, listen to books on headsets as they read along, read to self, and play a game called Creative Sight Word Sentence Center
