School Board Approves New High School Courses

George Mason High School students will soon have five new course offerings to consider when scheduling classes for next year.  The Falls Church City School Board approved the additional courses at its regular meeting Tuesday night.  The offerings were recommended by staff after obtaining feedback from students and parents.

The new course offerings for the 2007-2008 school year are:

• International Baccalaureate (IB) Standard Level Design Technology (Grades 11-12)
• International Baccalaureate (IB) Standard Level English (Grade 12)
• Beginning Arabic (Grades 8-12)
• Beginning Mandarin Chinese (Grades 8-12)
• Fashion Design and Construction (Grades 9-12)
