Breen Attends VA Aerospace and Technology Academy

Katie (Catherine) Breen, a rising senior at George Mason High School, is one of 48 students in the state selected to participate in the Virginia Aerospace and Technology Scholars (VASTS) academy which was held at NASA Langley.

Catherine completed a six-month interactive distance-learning program on aerospace exploration which prepared her for the intensive week.  At the academy, Breen built, programmed and tested robots.

During the 2009-10 year, Katie was junior captain of GM volleyball, played girls soccer on the state championship team, ran for Student government.
