Janney Named Technology Teacher of the Year

At its annual Gala, the Falls Church Education Foundation surprised four FCCPS teachers with a new award - Technology Teacher of the Year.
The four teachers are (from left):
- Al DeFazio, George Mason High School English Teacher
- Michelle Janney, Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School Math Teacher
- Courtney Quinlan, Mt. Daniel School First Grade Teacher
- Lisa Allan, Thomas Jefferson Elementary School Fourth Grade Teacher
The recipients were given a $500 award made possible by the contribution of a Falls Church Education Foundation anonymous donor. Learn more ->
Londono, Pugh: Support Staff of the Year Nominees

Congratulations to Mario Londono (Supervisor & Night Custodian) and Tish Pugh (Administrative Assistant to the Principal) for their nominations for the FCCPS 2013 Support Staff of the Year award. Way to go, Huskies!
Dippold Receives Agnes Meyer Nomination

MEHMS 7th Grade Civics Teacher and National History Day Club Sponsor, Rory Dippold was one of eight veteran FCCPS educators who have been nominated for this year's Agnes Meyer Outstanding Teacher Award. The annual award is given to one teacher from each D.C. metropolitan school district.
The winner will be announced by the Washington Post this spring, and he/she will receive a cash award from the Post. The winner and nominees will be recognized by the school board at a reception in the spring.
