Mount Daniel School’s principal and staff will present a Kindergarten Information Night for parents of prospective kindergarten students on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at 7:30 p.m. in the school’s multipurpose room. To be eligible for kindergarten, students must be five years of age by September 30, 2017, and a resident of the City of Falls Church.
A brief overview of the school day, curriculum, day care program, and registration requirements will be presented. Parents will receive a packet of registration information by mail prior to that evening with instructions for on-line registration. Registration will be held for kindergarten parents and students Wednesday, May 3, 2017. You will be notified of a time that will be reserved for you and your child to see a classroom and submit completed registration forms.
The Falls Church City School Board unanimously voted to appoint Jeremy Ferrara as the next Assistant Principal for Mount Daniel School. Mr. Ferrara comes to us from Arlington County where he was the Instructional Lead Teacher and STEAM coordinator after serving 8 years as a fourth grader teacher at Taylor Elementary School.
The Falls Church School Board has appointed Erin Kelly as the next principal of Mount Daniel Elementary beginning July 1st. Kelly has been Assistant Principal at the school for the last 2 years.
The Fairfax County Health Department is recognizing local eateries for excellence in food-safety practices and employee education.
Mount Daniel School is among sixteen local food service operations receiving the second annual 14 Carrot Gold Food Safety Excellence Award as an acknowledgment of their commitment to food safety.
