It's International Week at Mount Daniel! Morning Announcements will include Hippo Facts from three different contries and students will contribute an international greeting. On Friday night at TJ we will be celebrating International Night.
As the end of school nears, getting ready for this summer's activities occupies most of the non-classroom time for Mount Daniel staff.
Mount Daniel School is currently 100 students OVER capacity. Just in the last two years, dedicated program areas such as art and music rooms, and even the library have been converted to general classrooms. Couple that with ADA deficiencies (lack of sprinklers, wheelchair ramps, small door widths, etc.) and Mount Daniel (circa 1952) is in need of an overhaul.
Meet Pink Fluffy Unicorn (left) and Bob, two chicks who hatched in Room 7 at Mt. Daniel. The kindergarten students (and teachers) are beside themselves with joy as the chicks are hatching in every classroom this week. The students will look after them for several weeks until they return them to Hard Bargain Farm.
