Hockey may not be as popular in the DC area as it is up north, but the Washington Capitals are doing quite a bit to change that. Last year’s Southeast division champions are once again leading the division and are hoping to make the playoffs for the second year in a row. More fans than ever have been coming out to watch the Caps play at Verizon Center in DC. Every time the team has a game on a Thursday night, Chipotle Mexican Grill sponsors Student Rush Night. On these special nights, the Caps offer huge discounts on tickets to anyone who can show a valid 2008-2009 student ID. Students can get tickets to the game for as little as $15.
When a student purchases a ticket they also receive a coupon for a free Chipotle burrito that can be used at any time. Tonight the Capitals take on the New York Islanders in what is sure to be another exiting game.
