The GMHS FIRST Robotics team held a "Shipping Night Party" before packing up their robot, "Vae Victis" to send it to competition.
Students demonstrated the robot's talents - collecting basketballs and then lining up and shooting them at three hoops. It also can balance on an unstable platform, and while maneuvering over a roadblock, come in with a smooth landing.
The team is looking forward to two competitions in March:
+ Virginia Regional at Richmond, March 15-17
+ DC Regional at the DC Convention Center, March 29-31.
