Saturday the Mason Cross Country team participated in the Oatlands invitational in Leesburg, VA. The boys’ team placed 30th out of 46 teams.
Leading the way were Juniors Jesse Schaffer in 17:37 and Jeremy K Brown in 17:46. Keeping the pack tight were Paul Sanders and Jackson Jost in 17:57 and Jeremy M. Brown in 18:14.
Rounding out varsity with strong races were Paul Henninger and Ze'ev Lailiari.
The girls' team placed 5th out of 41 teams. Senior Michele de Mars led the way with a medal winning 21st place with a time of 19:45. Julia Estrada and Eva Estrada ran strong in 20:05 and 20:29.
Rounding out varsity with excellent races were Emma Vieillescazes, Alicia Devereaux, Hannah Beaman, and Abby Perez.
The team's next meet is this Wednesday at Strasburg.
