The IB Physics students of George Mason visited the Udvar-Hazy National Air and Space Museum on Tuesday, May 31 to watch planes land and look at planes and space ships. The classes split up into groups to tour the museum and many students were able to try out plane simulators.

“We obviously had the coolest shirts out of all the schools there,” said senior Andrew Lee about their “I ‘Saturn’ GM” t-shirts, which have been seen around in the halls the past few weeks and were worn by many on the trip.

Students went up to the air control tower and watched planes land at nearby Dulles Airport. With lunch at McDonalds, flight simulators, and tours of the museum full of historic planes, the physics-lovers of George Mason were treated to a fun, as well as educational, day.
