The posters plastered across every cinderblock in George Mason High School have paid off; the SCA At-Large position elections culminated in wins for rising seniors Marek Wojtala (publicity chair) and Ze’ev Lailari (senior class president), and rising junior Rand Walter (junior class president).
The students’ hard work and commitment campaigning for these positions has resulted in a great committee for next year’s Mustangs. As part of these students’ new positions, they will have to organize senior week and homecoming (Lailari), prom and the JV show (Walter), and create posters and announcements (Wojtala).
Good luck to the newly elected student leaders—for those who were not selected, try to run for the 2012-2013 Mason SCA and win over fellow Mustangs’ votes with eye-catching posters, buttons, and maybe even baked goods.
