New schools creating tough competition?

Central Woodstock High School and William Monroe High School are both entering into the Bull Run district next year, meaning George Mason athletics has new competition to face.

The lack of information that can be found about these two teams could cause problems for the Mustangs. In the past years, the Mustang teams knew the characteristics of the teams they played so that they could develop plays and tactics against each team. This great advantage is lost with the new teams entering the division.

Central Woodstock has had successful seasons in golf, cross country, and girls basketball. This information means that they could make for close games or meets, and definitely tough competition.

Mason looks forward to seeing how this will affect our teams’ seasons.
