Both the boys and girls varsity basketball teams traveled to Spotswood on Saturday, February 26 to compete for the regional championship. Despite the two and a half hour drive, the teams were both victorious, which means a better seed for states and a closer location for both teams.
The girls varsity team played first against East Rockingham. The fast paced game that was intensified by the large amount of fans ended with a score of 57-34. Sophomore Stephanie Cheney dominated the scoreboard and was also named Regional Player of the Year.

The girls and boys varsity both won their games in a double header on Saturday, March 5, and are looking forward to their semi-finals at VCU on Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11.
