After a very successful Back-to-School night last month, George Mason High School Principal Ty Byrd asked all of his teachers to wear their favorite teams' jerseys to work the next day.
As the decked-out teachers started arriving at school, die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan Byrd got on the PA system, announcing that there was a dress code violation. "You know who you are!" he joked over the loudspeaker, addressing the teachers who were wearing Redskins jerseys.
At the end of the school day, any faculty member wearing a jersey was called down to the spiral staircase near the Mustang Café for a group picture. The students agreed that this was a cool way to show unity among the teachers, and that it should be done more often. |
