Fall Musical Premieres Tonight
“I’m proud to be in the pajama game,” sings junior Joseph Kendra as the curtain opens to frantic working girls stitching away at pajamas in the Sleep-Tite Pajama Company’s factory. The all-student cast of George Mason’s The Pajama Game should be proud, too. This marks director Pamela Ricker-Spicer’s third musical and ninth production here at Mason, which begins its three-night run tonight at in the Mason auditorium.
Reprising their roles as costume-ladies are the much-revered Ruth Burkey and Janice Nette. Their numerous jobs included sewing costumes for the factory workers and, during the show nights, fixing hair and make-up. Tech will be run by the capable Mason stage crew, headed by Mr. John Ballou.
The Pajama Game runs tonight, Friday, and Saturday at in the George Mason auditorium. Admission is $5.
