Head to District Competition Beginning Wednesday

Coming off a tough final match of the season, losing to the Clarke County Eagles at home, the George Mason varsity volleyball team still remains hopeful going into the district tournament next week.
In possibly the worst match for the girls all season, the Mustangs fell to the Eagles 7-15 and then 14-16. This loss marked the second loss out of the past four matches, as Mason also fell to the Eagles last Monday 15-11, 12-15, and 9-15.
Coming back strong, however, traveling to Rappahannock two days later, the girls won 15-9, 12-15, and 15-5, and then won at home against Manassas Park last Friday night 15-10, 12-15, 15-4.
At the end of the regular season, the Mustangs are 5-7 after a winless 0-13 season last year. The improvement is nothing but exciting for Mason volleyball fans, as they will match up next Wednesday for the first round of the Bull Run District Tournament.
