Lasso's Gone Green

Popular trends indicate a mass movement towards green technologies, products, energy, and foods.  With global warming, rising energy costs, and a growing negative impact of America’s historically wasteful tendencies, the importance of green living is growing in importance—not only for our survival, but for the maintenance of what few natural resources we have left.

The push to go green is all around us—on tv, the radio, in magazines, even at school.  The staff of Lasso Online is embracing this movement and is prepared to share a spectrum of advice, information, and commentary on the subject.

Having gone exclusively online in the year 2000, Lasso Online eliminated its paper trail and carbon footprint in favor of a paperless society.  It was one of the first school newspapers to make the leap and it has never looked back.

If we can all be a little more Earth-conscious, a little more appreciative of what valuable resources we have left—a little “greener”-- the teachers and students of George Mason High School can really make a big impact on our community, state, and country.

With the new year upon us and a new president in office, let us all move to change our wasteful ways.  We can all be a little greener.
