A few weeks ago, students at Mount Daniel School were surprised to discover a baby rabbit nest under some of their playground equipment.
The children quickly roped off the area with jump ropes and created several colorful warning signs not to disturb the young new visitors.
The discovery turned into a teachable moment. “The way the kids have taken care of the bunnies is a fantastic example of ‘student-initiated action,’ one of our major PYP concepts,” said PYP Coordinator Beth Green.
