Professional Background: Statistician, National Center for Education Statistics, U.S. Department of Education. University of Florida, B.A. Sociology. Georgia Institute of Technology, M.S. Psychology. Past service includes involvement on middle school PTA, high school PTSA and school board advisory committees.

Reason for becoming a school board member: "It seemed like the logical extension of my volunteer work for the schools. I wanted to ensure that the school board continued to include members who put the needs of the students first."
