School Board Service: 2006 - Present. Support Employees Advisory Committee, High School PTSA, Falls Church Education Foundation, Channel 12 Access Corporation.

Professional Background: A professional educator from pre-school through college, spanning thirty years as teacher, administrator, and teacher trainer in two states. B.A. and teaching credential, California State University, Northridge. M.A. in Educational Administration, Whittier College.

Reason for becoming a school board member: "I want to contribute to improving our school system because our children deserve schools that provide them with an excellent education in a fiscally responsible manner. As a mother of five children, all products of public schools, I understand what a critical role their educational experience has played in their lives. My family moved to Falls Church because of its reputation as an excellent school district and I want to build on that excellence."
