Under the Code of Virginia, the Day Care and ASAP staff members are required to report suspected child abuse or neglect.

If a staff member suspects an incident of child abuse or neglect, he/she is required to report it immediately to the Center Supervisor, who will subsequently report it to the Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator, upon consultation with the school principal and/or the guidance and counseling staff, may contact Child Protective Services. The identity of the person making the initial report is strictly confidential.
